Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data AlphaCartel collects, why, and how we protect it. We follow the principle of data minimization: we collect only what the service needs to function.
1. Data we collect
- Discord identifier: to link your community account to the service.
- WEEX API credentials (API key, secret, passphrase) and OAuth tokens: to place the trades you authorize. Stored encrypted; access is trade only and cannot withdraw.
- Trade and settings data: your risk settings and the trades you choose to copy, for execution and audit.
- Operational logs: metadata that is not sensitive, kept for security and troubleshooting.
We do not collect more than this, and we do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
2. How your data is protected
- All credentials and tokens are encrypted at rest using a managed key management service; the decryption key is never stored alongside the data.
- Credentials are never stored in plaintext and never written to logs.
- Data is encrypted in transit over HTTPS and TLS on all endpoints.
- Each user’s data is isolated; there is no cross user access.
3. How we use your data
Solely to operate the service: to authenticate you, to place trades you authorize, to apply your risk settings, to maintain a security audit trail, and to communicate with you about the service.
4. Sharing
We share data only as required to provide the service (for example, sending authorized orders to WEEX) or where legally required. We do not sell personal data.
5. Retention
Credentials are retained while your account is connected and deleted or revoked when you disconnect. Security audit logs are retained for at least 180 days as required by WEEX’s broker security requirements, then disposed of securely.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including the GDPR where it applies), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may disconnect your account at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us below.
